Very good food and service.

Wagon Wheel Cafe, Alturas, located in Modoc region is an experience. 7 am breakfast stop just hit the spot along our ride. Never found a coffee strong enough that we get at Seattle. Coffee seem to be weak and diluted for at most breakfast places including this Wagon Wheel. Love the symbolism of real wagon wheels embedded in concrete along the front. Cute. Sorry we couldn’t stay long enough to experience the National sheepdog finals🤣.

We love wagon wheel. Great place to eat. Food is great and. The people working they are friendly. And kind. We all love Debbie. She is the best 👍💯.

Kind of a hit-and-miss place with way more hits than I've had misses. Depends on who's cooking I suppose. All I can say is "Biscuits and Gravy".

Typical rural town cafe. Waitress was friendly, locals looking at you with suspicion. Food seemed to be local, not all Sysco.

I visit this spot a lot since I work right next to it. I like how the customer service is always good and they keep the spot neat regularly. Pricing is reasonable and they serve generous portions.

Great food the double bacon burger was so big I couldn't eat everything on it. I had to deconstruct it. Could not finish it all. The server's work hard and are so friendly. Loved it!!!

Freshest eggs, big bacon, great service and everything cooked perfectly! Wonderful family place full of locals and very friendly! We will stop there again and it's the place we now measure all breakfasts to. Yes, it's that good!

They offer a fantastic variety of fresh food. I loved eating here. Staff members are always welcoming, prices are convenient and the spot is always well organised.

Yeah, the other reviews are correct. This place is spectacular. Great food, really decent pricing, really nice service.

I have eaten probably too many chicken fried steaks in my lifetime and most are good. Some bad ones stand out. This particular plate on this particular day was exactly the flavors, textures and smells I expected and hoped for. Wagon wheel made for a great stop on a road trip with great prices, friendly and fast service with a hometown country vibe. The orange juice was abnormally good. We also had an omelet that was delicious.

As always excellent food had to get take out. The person who took our order professional and pleasent. Will always come back to Wagon Wheel I got my first job as a waitress there good thing it was in my blood, I raised my two daughters working as a waitress/bartender and it all started in the little 6 table restraunt that used o be there. That was well over 30 years ago both my sister Penny and I have worked here. Well done.

My husband's omelette portion was huge, and my burger was perfectly cooked. Fast, attentive service is always nice, too. I'll definitely eat there when I'm in the area again.

Small town friendly, simple fare very well prepared, and smiles are provided at no charge and are priceless. The smile you are given is a takeout item you will take with you when you leave. Worth the stop!

Very well kept and accessible place. They serve generous meals and for reasonable prices. We liked the meals a lot and the waiters were very amiable and explanatory. I recommend this place.

The food is always served hot and you almost have to have a to go box. The waitresses are friendly & service is pretty good. I love their cornbeef hash & eggs.

We ate dinner and breakfast here when we stayed overnight in Alturas. The food is sooo good. I had the enchilada and my husband had the salmon for dinner. Delicious! The food prep was a little slow but we weren't in a hurry. For breakfast between the two of us we had biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and sausage. What a way to start the day! Highly recommend eating here.

Phenomenal breakfast. Loved the omelet and hashbrowns. The French toast was out of the world as were the pancakes. Has a nice old timey charm to it and a perfect place to get your brunch.

This is an old restaurant, my first thought was I just walked into the 60s. Definitely comfort food it was mostly tasty some food taste better than others. As a place to eat in Alturas California I would recommend this restaurant.
